Admission and Discharge
Admission to the hospital can be done through:

- The Accident & Emergency Department or
- Your General Practitioner (GP) or a Specialist.

Admission & Discharge for in-patient and day surgery admissions, please contact our Reception Counter at the main hospital lobby between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm daily. Admissions after these hours are performed at our Emergency Department. Please check-in to the hospital at the appointed time as requested by your doctor. Patients are requested to bring along their own attire, towels and toiletries for their use when hospitalised.
For Surgical Patients
* If your minor surgery is scheduled on the day of the admission, please check-in to the hospital 4 hours prior to the surgery time.
* If you are undergoing a major surgery, you are required to be admitted one day before the surgery.
*On admission, you will be required to pay a deposit and you may do so by cash or credit card, or present a guarantee letter acceptable by the hospital.
*Applicable to selected hospitals only.
Patients are reminded not to keep a large sum of money, jewellery and other valuable things during their stay in the hospital, as the hospital cannot be held responsible for the loss of any items.
Visiting Hours
Visitors are allowed until 10:00 pm. Children below 12 years old are not encouraged to visit the hospital. This is for infection control purposes. The necessity of some control over visiting hours is to ensure that you get the rest that you need and also to allow nurses and doctors provide treatment with least disruption. Permission to visit outside normal hours may be granted at the discretion of the Nurse Manager.
Personal Items
Please bring your pyjamas or night dress, toiletries and etc as the hospital does not provide these items.
Your doctor will certify your discharge. We need a lead timeof about one to two hours to process your prescriptions and bills. When the bill is ready, the ward staff will inform you and a discharge slip will be given for you to settle your bill.
Check-Out Time
The hospital check-out time is 12:00 noon. After a one daystay, should you leave before 6:00 pm, an additional half – day’s rate will be charged. Full day charges will be levied for discharge after 6:00 pm.
Before you leave the hospital, an out-patient appointment may be made for follow-up treatment. On your out-patient visit, please bring along your appointment card.
